Cotton futures are getting support from a weaker US dollar at Monday midday. Thinly traded Oct is up 114 points, with most other contracts up 57 to 85 points. The 6-10 day outlook shows above normal temps and below average rainfall for parts of TX. Friday’s CFTC report showed spec traders in Cotton futures and options cutting 6,022 contracts off their net long position to 70,650 contracts in the week ending 8/21. The Cotlook A index was down 75 points from the previous day at 91.40 cents/lb on August 24. The weekly AWP was updated to 73.83 cents/lb, good through Thursday.

Oct 18 Cotton is at 82.95, up 114 points,

Dec 18 Cotton is at 82.2, up 57 points

Mar 19 Cotton is at 82.53, up 74 points

May 19 Cotton is at 82.760, up 58 points
