Cotton futures are mostly lower at midday, with nearby Oct showing 48 point gains on low trade volume. All upland cotton export commitments are 44.8% larger than last year but have been losing ground. Relative to last year. They still total 49% of the USDA export projection, vs. last year’s 34% and the average of 39% .The Cotton AWP was updated to 63.27 cents/lb, down 86 points from the previous week. The Cotlook A index for September 14 was unchanged from the previous day at 79.1 cents/lb. At their daily auction of state reserves on Friday, China sold 23,200 MT of the 25,200 MT of cotton offered.

Oct 17 Cotton is at 70.26, up 48 points,

Dec 17 Cotton is at 69.04, down 8 points

Mar 18 Cotton is at 68.42, down 11 points

May 18 Cotton is at 68.810, down 28 points
