Cotton

Cotton futures are 41 to 45 points higher after they posted losses of 11 to 33 points in most contracts yesterday. Following the revelation that the House version of the tax bill had a flaw and would have to be brought back up again, the US dollar fell sharply and ended the day 233 points lower. The Cotlook A index was 75 points higher from the day prior on December 18 to 86.65 cents/lb. Online cash sales on the Seam dropped to 19,979 bales on December 18, with prices averaging 68.77 cents/lb, down 130 points from the previous day.
