Cotton Market Commentary

Cotton futures are currently 22 to 39 points in the red on Thursday, as thinly traded Oct is up 26 points. Crude oil is down $1.45/barrel at midday, providing some pressure. The weekly Export Sales report will be delayed until Friday. The Cotlook A index was down 40 points from the previous day at 92.55 cents/lb on September 5. The USDA weekly AWP at 74.26 cents/lb should be updated later today. China sold 16,588 MT of cotton from states reserves on Thursday, 55.28% of the total offered.

Oct 18 Cotton is at 81.97, up 26 points,

Dec 18 Cotton is at 81.32, down 39 points

Mar 19 Cotton is at 81.82, down 29 points

May 19 Cotton is at 82.190, down 29 points
