Cotton futures are showing sharp losses in most contracts at midday. Sales of old crop upland cotton exports slipped from the previous week at 294,078 RB, which was 38.92% behind last year. There was also 118,206 RB in new crop sales. Turkey purchased 107,400 RB of new crop, with Vietnam at 94,000 RB. The current Adjusted World Price or AWP at 69.69 cents/lb will be updated later today. The Cotlook A index was down 10 points from the previous day on February 28 at 91.70 cents/lb. The Seam showed cash sales of 12,407 bales on Wednesday, with prices averaging 70.16 cents/lb.

May 18 Cotton is at 81.03, down 190 points

Jul 18 Cotton is at 81.63, down 166 points

Oct 18 Cotton is at 77.960, down 34 points
