Cotton futures are steady to 44 points in the red at Tuesday’s midday. The US dollar is showing pressure at the moment, up 488 points. Last Thursday’s Cotton On-Call report indicated that mills reduced their March unfixed call sales position by 6,047 contracts during the week of 2/16. That position was down to 2,895 contracts, as May was at 33,128 contracts for that week. The Cotlook A index was up 190 points from the previous day on February 26 at 91.10 cents/lb. The Seam showed cash sales of 9,847 bales on Monday, with prices averaging 71.59 cents/lb.

Jul 18 Cotton is at 82.39, down 36 points
