Cotton futures are 11 to 44 points lower this morning. They finished Thursday with most contracts 7 to 92 points higher on thinner trade, as May and July were lower on the day. Sales of old crop upland cotton exports slipped from the previous week at 294,078 RB, which was 38.92% behind last year. There was also 118,206 RB in new crop sales. Turkey purchased 107,400 RB of new crop, with Vietnam at 94,000 RB. Total upland export commitments are 19.4% larger than last year, slipping some from the previous week. The Adjusted World Price or AWP was up dated to 73.09 cents/lb on Thursday, up 340 points from the previous week. The Cotlook A index was down 10 points from the previous day on February 28 at 91.70 cents/lb. The Seam showed cash sales of 12,407 bales on Wednesday, with prices averaging 70.16 cents/lb.
