Cotton futures were 9 to 20 points lower Wednesday, with pressure coming from the US dollar showing 465 point gains. The USDA Ginnings report showed 788,550 running bales processed thus far in the US, up from 678,850 a year ago. All were in AZ or TX. The Seam reported sales of 2,759 bales with an average price of 67.50 cents/lb. The Cotlook A index for September 26 was up 100 points from the previous day at 79.70 cents/lb. China sold the entire 30,800 MT of cotton in Wednesday’s auction of state reserves.

Oct 17 Cotton closed at 69.280, down 10 points,

Dec 17 Cotton closed at 68.650, down 10 points

May 18 Cotton closed at 68.340, down 9 points
