Cotton futures are 15 to 25 points lower this morning. They were 9 to 20 points lower Wednesday, with pressure coming from the US dollar. The DX is up 2.6% from its low on September 8, but a little weaker this morning. December cotton peaked the same day the dollar bottomed, but is currently down 9.4% from that peak. The Seam reported sales of 2,759 bales with an average price of 67.50 cents/lb. The Cotlook A index for September 26 was up 100 points from the previous day at 79.70 cents/lb. China sold the entire 30,800 MT of cotton in Wednesday’s auction of state reserves.
